The challenge

Before we touched a screen.

Standing up a new D2C storefront is rarely about the storefront. It's about catalog ops, payments, taxes, shipping rules, an admin the team can actually run. Doing all that for every new brand is how studios get stuck. ZM needed brand fidelity without rebuilding plumbing.

How we approached it

Four steps, told plainly.

    Forked the Store Axis spine that powers FZN, with the same admin, checkout and ops layer.

  2. 02

    Retuned theme tokens — colour, type, motion — to read as ZM, not as a sibling clone.

  3. 03

    Restructured the catalog around the way ZM customers actually shop: by goal, then by SKU family.

  4. 04

    Onboarded the ZM ops team onto the same admin as FZN, so the operational learning curve is shared.

ZM Nutrition went live in days on the Store Axis backbone, brand-true on the front and operationally shared on the back. The second launch confirms the platform thesis: each new brand pays back the build in days, not months.
